Art made out of books
Lately I have seen a lot of art made out of books, I even created a pinterest board and a post category named “The Unwanted books”. But these sculptures by Guy Laramee are unique, he transforms books into amazing sculptures. Be sure to check out the rest of his collection is simply stunning and make sure to read his descriptions to each proyect.
I understand the necessity to stop destroying trees to make books. But I believe that there is no way to replace the pleasure to experience reading a physical book. Besides the content, they give a romantic character to any home. I do believe books are an important treasure and possession. Nevertheless I try to posses as few books as possible. And yet is so sad to hear about unwanted books but it really makes me happy when unwanted books end up turned into art.

Buen Día !
As much as I love sculptural book art, I love the idea that this art is made from damaged or unwanted books.
I feel for all the trees. I can not change a lot with my feelings I believe books are an important treasure and possession. Nevertheless I try to posses as few books as possible. I used to buy a lot of books not just the ones I read but decoration, crafts, traveling an so on. It was kind of a collection. I believed and believe that besides the content, they give character to any home. Some of my books are dated with a little history of why and when I bought it. I thought it was going to be nice for my kids to see that when they reached for the book . Turns out is not their interest,it was mine. So definitively I try to buy fewer books. I use the internet and paperless more. It is a pity we don´t have a good library or I would use that, but my friends and I exchange books as I really love to read. And if I buy it after I read it, I find a next reader. I used to remain with all the books that I liked, because I highlight them and because I believe books are treasures that you can go back to. I started to feel a little guilty, I really didn’t come back to them. So I decided to give some of them to people that really use them, some to the school of my kids and some that didn´t have future I am using them for crafts.
